Yep! My head must have been in the sand for quite a while. I didn't have the faintest idea this was a thing beyond pickups at the strip. TD class has no limits on weight, wheelbase, or tire sizes. Nor can I see any limits on engines until pro mod/stock categories. TD is Cracking the quarter at 218mph! Look at the snails and snakes convention! Honestly, I'm finding it rather exciting to watch with the revving and jockeying at the line to spin the turbos and get the boost up before launch.

This truck has 3 turbos (Look closely and you see it's a compound setup, two in front blowing into the one on the engine than blowing into the engine) can make 130psi - and does it in 9's. at 145mph. It's supposedly the fastest 6.7 in the world.

Because the blocks can take monster pressures, they can't have enough boost! I'm seeing pictures of some engines getting twincharged-turbos dumping into a supercharger and compressing already compressed air. If anyone loves welding pipe, I think a Diesel hot rod shop would be the ticket.

Oh my god that will be a huge event. Every time I'm up there for work we stay by the airport. Every time the intersection light is green its a tuck drag race. So much oil money and so much truck in Edmonton.

It's all fun and games until someone drops 12 gallons of oil on the entire track from staging to sand trap. So glad I didn't work that day......
